1) Complete the Campaign

The first thing that you will need to do before the start of any new season is to complete the campaign. Once you have finished the main questline in Diablo 4, you will get to unlock the “skip campaign” feature when Infernal Hordes drops.
This will prevent you from getting gatekept in the new season and you can start exploring the new content in Sanctuary right away.
Additionally, finishing the campaign will allow you to get your hands on a mount. As a part of Doran’s Favor questline in Act Four, you get to have a mount in the game which will then make it much easier to unlock all the waypoints in the Seasonal Realm.
2) Make sure to unlock all Renown Rewards

You will be able to unlock a total of 2000 Renown per region which will help bring the total to 10,000. So once you have gotten your on all of them you will be able to unlock the following bonuses for your characters:
- +10 Skill Points
- +5 Potion Capacity
- +20 Paragon Points
- +400 Max Obols capacity.
Skill Points and Potion Capacity are very important to help your character have a significantly easier time in completing the various objectives in Diablo 4 Season of the Infernal Hordes.
Also do keep in mind that while the Renown bonuses that you unlock will be available to you across every season, you will need to hit the tiers again to gain the bonus XP and Gold rewards.
3) Discover 100% of the map to unlock all the waypoints

Unlocking the entirety of Sanctuary is also important before a new season starts in Diablo 4. It will help you have an easier time navigating when completing quests in Season of the Infernal Hordes.
If you were able to unlock every major region on the Eternal Realm, you will gain access to atleast two waypoints in these regions in the Seasonal Realm.
You will be able to fast travel to these waypoints when the season begins and you will not have to ride out to the locations from Kyovashad on horseback.
4) Unlock all bonuses from the Altars of Lilith

Finding Altars of Lilith will unlock special bonuses for your character in Diablo 4. So make sure to unlock all of them that are strewn across Sactuarry to provide your characters with that much-needed buff.
There are a total of 160 Altar of Lilith statues, and unlocking them all provides you with the following bonuses:
- 68 Strength
- 68 Intelligence
- 68 Willpower
- 68 Dexterity
- 100 Murmuring Obols capacity
- 4 Paragon Points
