Farming for Descendants in The First Descendant can be a grind, especially when you’re working towards acquiring the newer ones such as Luna and Hailey.
As one player discovered, they made a very costly mistake while farming for the newest cold-based character, and took to social media to share their mistake with others so that they don’t have to repeat it.
u/FriedRiceRiceBaby posted the information on Reddit as a PSA for other players who were also trying to farm materials for the new Sniper Descendant.
According to the OP, Hailey’s materials drop as items that you need to pick up when you’re farming the different activities from which you get these items.
The only time you get them directly is when you’re running through Invasion Dungeons. The OP was under the impression that no matter what you did, you automatically received these items in your inventory, and fears that they’ve missed out on a lot of materials ever since they’ve started farming.
Some players were astounded by the OP’s behavior here and one said, “Imagine not picking up loot in a looter shooter,” while another added, “Do you people not collect loot?”
Others veered of into a different trajectory where they started discussing if consumable drop modifiers would affect Hailey material drops, because they behaved like consumables.
A different player added, “We need an auto loot pick up system at the end of instances or a bank where missed drops get put into.”
A smaller group of players however, thanked OP for the PSA because this incident is very subtle and is not something that a lot of people would notice if they’re unaware.
Considering that there are concerns about the Hailey farm system, Nexon might change this system up because they do take feedback from the community and implement it into The First Descendant.
