Weapon customization in The Forever Winter is a feature that you need to make the most out of, if you’re looking to survive the harsh environment.
Barring the exception of a few guns, you will be able to customize most of the weapons that are available in the game.
Before you start modifying your weapon, it’s worth noting that modification is an expensive process. And if you lose your weapon, you’ll have to customize the base weapon all over again. So, here’s how you can customize weapons in The Forever Winter.
How to modify your guns in The Forever Winter
- Launch The Forever Winter, and head into the menu and select the “Combat Loadout” option.
- Under this option, select one of the available weapons from your inventory.
- When you’ve selected a weapon, click on the “Customize” button that appears in the bottom right corner of your screen.
- This will take you to a screen where you can swap out the different components of your weapon.
Here are all the weapon components that you will be able to modify in The Forever Winter:
- Magazine
- Upper Receiver
- Barrel
- Handguard
- Pistol Grip
- Stock
- Gas Tube
- Muzzle Device
Once you click on the part that you want to modify, it’ll show the list of attachments that are available to you. You can then make your desired changes and save it as a preset.
However, it’s worth noting that you won’t be able to modify your weapon during the initial stages of the game, because either you won’t have the parts available to you, or you’ll have to spend premium credits.
That said, it’s better that you use this time to find the weapon that you’re comfortable with by taking them along in a few raids before you start modifying your guns in The Forever Winter.
