Grow a Garden is a rather fantastic Roblox game that has players (as the name implies) grow and tend to their very own virtual garden. As this is somewhat of a live-service game, Grow a Garden features routine updates and additions, of which the Prehistoric update is the newest, upcoming version.

When will the Prehistoric update for Grow a Garden release?
The Prehistoric update for Grow a Garden releases on July 5, 2025 – that is, this very Saturday. The update is expected to be released at 2 PM UTC, assuming no delays take place.

What to expect from Grow a Garden’s Prehistoric update
To begin with, the Prehistoric update will result in the closure of the Summer Harvest Event. The new event is expected to last around two weeks, so players are recommended to make haste.
Other than these, the Prehistoric Event update for Grow a Garden brings with it the following additions:
- Ancient Seed Pack: This is the new, themed Seed Pack for the game. While we don’t have enough information just yet, the Seed Pack is expected to bring at least 5 new seeds with it. This also includes the Aeglefruit – a new fruit that far surpasses the value of the Candy Blossom. This is expected to be rarer to find.
- Pet Mutator: This is a new gameplay mechanic. In short, it lets players add mutations to their Pets. Further information on this is awaited.
- New Pets: A set of new Pets will be added to the game with the Prehistoric update. This also includes the highly anticipated Dinosaur.
