The stamina system in Wuthering Waves is known as Waveplate, and is different than most of the systems that you will usually come across in other video games.
For context, stamina is what allows you to sprint faster or block attacks in most games, but that isn’t the case here.
So what is Waveplate in Wuthering Waves, and how does it work?
Waveplate in Wuthering Waves explained

Waveplate is a currency-like stamina system that you will come across in Wuthering Waves. While it won’t affect your movement speed in any way, you will need it to participate in some of the activities in the game.
At any given point, you can have no more than 240 Waveplate, and you recover 1 every 6 minutes, which translates to 10 per hour.
You can refresh this only six times a day, and the cost will increase for every 2 refreshes to 60/120/240.
How to use Waveplate in Wuthering Waves

There are five activities that require you to use Waveplate in Wuthering Waves. A description of the activities and their costs are as follows:
- Training Zone (40): Gives you XP for your character, echo, weapons and currency to upgrade and purchase different items in the game.
- Weapon | Forte materials (40): Used to upgrade skills related to the weapons that your characters use in Wuthering Waves.
- Tacet Field (40): This is a mini-horde mode where you will face four enemy waves. In the final wave, you’ll face a boss, who if you manage to defeat, will drop 1 and 3 cost Echoes of two different sets.
- World Bosses (60): Although you can farm World Bosses in Wuthering Waves, you can use Waveplate to collect materials that will help you ascend your character.
- Weekly Bosses (60): Weekly bosses are time-gated but drop powerful rewards in the game.
That’s everything you need to know about Waveplate in Wuthering Waves and how you can use it in the game. We’ll be sure to update this piece should Kuro Games decide to tune this feature in future updates.
