How to use:

You can make this build early in Shadow of the Erd Tree as the Backhand Blade and the Solitude set are obtained from the Gravesite Plains. The armor will let you have an incredible amount of poise and tank most things that the DLC will throw at you.

However, you will need a fair number of points in Endurance to be able to wear the Solitude Set, which is why it’s best to keep at least 35 points (if not higher) in that stat.

Additionally, once you get the Backhand Blade you will need to put the Blood affinity on it. It will then let you have B scaling with DEX and D on Arcane with over a 100 Blood Loss build-up. You can then start dumping points in both DEX and Arcane.

The Ash of War Blind Spot makes you hard to pin down as you dash toward the enemy’s backside. It will also let you navigate around shields and pierce through most of the enemy’s defenses.

Stamina management is key when you are championing this build. So make sure you have the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman, which is one of the best Talismans that you can get early in the Land of Shadow.

How to use:

This is one of the easiest builds to pilot as all you will have to do is spam L2 in every fight. The Ash of War Spinning Gravity Ash will let you jump up and drill into the enemy. You get hyper-armor during this animation and as it deals a large number of consecutive hits in a short time, you will be building Blood Loss on the enemy in no time.

The skill also has a great stagger value so make sure you use it on a greatsword that you really like. To get the Spinning Gravity you will need to beat Gaius and exchange his Remembrance at Eina to get his weapon which already has the skill. Now remove the skill from his weapon, and dump it on a greatsword with a Blood affinity.

As a result, you will get a weapon with 164 blood loss build-up. You will be able to cheese through the entire game now by just spamming the Ash of War.

3) The Bloodfiend’s Blood Arm Bleed build

Dexterity12
Intelligence16
Faith25

How to use:

The Bloodfiend’s Blood Arm is one of the most overpowered weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. You will be able to obtain it very early on in Prospect Town as a drop, and once you slot in Blood affinity in it, the weapon will be able to provide you with over 200 Blood Loss build-up.

You will be able to one-shot almost every single mob in the DLC and chunk out bosses with just a few swings of the club. It’s one of the most broken “unga bunga” playstyles in the RPG which will trivialize most encounters.

Just make sure that you have enough points in Strength and Arcane, and that you are using skills like Shriek of Sorrow, which is one of the best Ashes of War that you can get early. It will significantly increase the amount of damage that you do based on your remaining HP. So the lower your health, the higher will be your DPS boost.

As the Bloodfiend’s Arm is a Colossal Weapon it will have great poise-break and stagger potential. So make sure that you are weaving in basic hits with charged attacks.

Attribute Distribution:

AttributePoints

Endurance25
Strength08
Dexterity20
Intelligence21
Faith25
Arcane80

How to use:

The Impenetrable Thorns is one of the best sorceries in the DLC and you will get it while exploring the Shadow Keep. The spell will let you cast thorns in a wide AoE and enemies that are affected by it will build up bleed. Charging the sorcery will increase its potency and along with the Radagon Icon, you will be able to keep spamming this spell over and over again.

To increase the effectiveness of the sorcery you can use the Maternal Staff that boosts Finger Sorceries on the main hand and the Staff of the Guilty on the off-hand.

The Staff of the Guilty will boost Thorn Sorcery and amplify blood loss buildup. This will let you proc bleed on enemies on every one or two casts.

The Maternal Staff can be obtained after completing Ymir’s questline in Manus Metyr and it’s one of the longest side missions in the game. Once you have the required build just keep spamming the Thorns sorcery which comes with nice stagger values and you can melt through through most content in the DLC.

5) The Jumping Bandit Bleed build

Consumable ItemSacred Bloody Flesh

Attribute Distribution:

AttributePoints
Vigor60
Mind10
Endurance25
Strength14
Dexterity18
Intelligence09
Faith25
Arcane80

How to use:

Your strategy with this build will be to maximize the jumping attack capabilities of the Curved Sword. You will ideally be using two Bandit’s Curved Swords, then Blood Imbune them, and powerstance them. Upon doing so your jumping attacks as well as the dashing attacks with the weapons will apply four hits.

This builds up Blood Loss very fast and you will gain a significant boost to DPS when Hemorrhage procs as you will have the White Mask headpiece and Lord of Blood’s Exultation Talisman.

Claw Talisman and Gravebird’s Blackquill Armor piece, on the other hand, will significantly increase the amount of damage that you do with jumping attacks.

You will be able to further optimize this build with the help of the Seppuku Ash of War. When used on both weapons you will initially proc bloodless on almost every jump attack.

This build is a boss killer and will help you melt through most content in the game.

These are currently some of the best Bleed builds that should be trying to cheese through FromSoftware‘s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
