Diablo 4 is gearing up for it’s first ever expansion which is being called the Vessel of Hatred and is due for an early October release this year.
This new expansion will focus on the travels of Neyrelle who has ventured into the unknown with the Soul Stone containing Mephisto, one of the Prime Evils.
So, here’s everything you need to know about this expansion, including the release date and some of the key features that it’ll bring.
Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred release date
The Vessel of Hatred expansion is releasing on October 9, alongside Season 6. Apart from the new seasonal storyline, a brand new campaign will also be available with this expansion.
While it’s unlikely that the expansion will be deferred, considering that the PTR for the new season just concluded, we’ll be sure to update this piece if the developers push the date back by a couple of days due to unforseen circumstances.
What to expect in the new Diablo 4 expansion?
- A new class called Spiritborn
- New co-op PvE activity (possibly a raid)
- New region of Nahantu
- Runewords
- Mercenaries
- New Mythic Uniques
- New enemy types
Apart from the seasonal and campaign storyline, these are the following features that you can expect to see once the new season goes live.
The leveling system and the paragon board will also be receiving a much-needed rework, and is aimed at simplifying the power level grind that exists in the game.
As revealed in a new Mythic, we’ll be fighting off Angels and Demons in this new expansion, so the storyline might also include Imperius and the invasion of Heaven.
With only a few days left for the new expansion to go live, Wanderers in the Sanctuary are eager to see what the future holds, now that Blessed Mother and Father Inarius aren’t around to protect their children.
