Super Smash Bros. Pro Mang0 Becomes Focal Point of Controversy After Livestream Incident

Super Smash Bros. professional player Joseph Manuel Marquez, better known as Mang0, came under fire following his actions at a celebrity Beerio Kart event.

Organised by Ludwig Anders Ahgren, a.k.a Ludwig, this event featured multiple celebrity streamers who were invited to play Mario Kart together while intoxicated.

A lot of popular names from the content creator community were present at the event, where Mang0 started behaving inapproprately, mostly with the female streamers around.

From what was seen in the videos, it’s possible that Mang0 had a bit too much to drink, and that’s the reason for his behavior. He’s was spotted multiple times, groaning and gyrating his hips.

In one video, Maya Higa and ExtraEmily were visually uncomfortable when Mang0 came over and made inappropriate gestures on stream. The individual asked them to end their stream too, but they didn’t comply. He continued with the gestures before moving away after a while.

Ludwig was forced to intervene and control Mang0 multiple times. It’s unclear if the professional player was asked to leave the event later. But none of the attendees were happy with however he conducted himself.

At the time of writing this article, it’s unclear if Mang0 has commented on the incident or not, but considering the kind of backlash its received, there’s a chance he would try to clarify his name.

While most of the streamers were uncomfortable, none of them have said anything yet, and most of clips with Mang0 behaving inappropriately have been taken down.

This isn’t the end of the controversy, considering that Ludwig has clearly stated that Mang0 won’t be invited to future events.
