All bugs in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and how to fix them

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was released to much fanfare on October 25, 2024. Unfortunately, the release brought with it a plethora of bugs, many of which are yet to be resolved – even to this day.

These bugs range from one-off glitches to periodic disconnects from a lobby, and will be discussed below (along with their possible fixes).

All known Call of Duty Black Ops 6 bugs

Multiplayer

  • Nuketown is unavailable for Private Matches.
  • Players cannot replenish their reserves from the Quartermaster, Scavenger Packs and Assault Pack if they have equipment cosmetics equipped.
  • Medal and Level Up notifications do not pop up in Hardcore.
  • Certain Killer Calling Card challenges do not display their progress in the Scoreboards.
  • Progression levels may be incorrectly displayed on the Scoreboard.
  • Progression levels may be incorrectly displayed on the main menu.

Zombies

  • Reloading will make players run slower than intended.
  • Single firing the AK-47, or using the semi auto mode shows an anomalous recoil pattern.
  • It is currently only possible to craft and use one Lethal or Tactical on the Crafting Table, at a time.
  • Equipping armor plates for some weapons may make players lose all ammunition.

Campaign

  • Some players may notice that their campaign mission progress may have reset after the November 14, 2024 update. This reset does not wipe your entire progress though, and prior missions should be left unaffected.
  • Those using the Microsoft Store to play Black ops 6 may notice intermittent loss in campaign progress and settings.

  • Progression levels are incorrectly displayed for other players.
  • Monster Energy Black Ops 6 specific codes have not been sent yet for some.
  • Campaign Cash has has a bug that displays an overly exaggerated amount (positive or negative).

All bugs mentioned above are under investigation, and Activision Support has prepared a bug report form for new incidents, linked here.

How to fix the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 bugs

While there is no permanent, definite fix for these issues, there a few generic steps players can take until Activision ultimately addresses the bugs:

  • For multiplayer bugs, try restarting your match. Check your internet connection, and disable any VPNs. Try restarting your modem or connecting to a wired internet connection instead of Wi-Fi.
  • Try restarting your game if you encounter generic issues.
  • Update your GPU drivers before booting up the game again. Attempt a clean install using DDU.
  • Close any background processes to free up system resources.

Keep in mind that this list is a work-in-progress, and is subject to change from updates.
