Nioh 3 has a sizeable roster of weapon types, each bringing a completely different playstyle to the table. This allows for a fair bit of build variety in the RPG, which lets you make the most of the Stance system.
There are a total of 17 weapon types in Nioh 3, and below we go over a list of all of them, including their stat scaling and a brief overview.
All Weapons in Nioh 3

1) Samurai Weapons
The Samurai style has 7 weapon types that you will be able to access. However, during the tutorial phase of the gam you will only have access to Sword, Dual Swords, Spear, and Odachi.

![]() Odachi | •Stamina •Strength •Magic | An Odachi is a very large sword that does sweeping strikes. The weapon packs a punch, but its sheer weight forces you to use more Ki when wielding it. |
![]() Axe | •Cons. •Stamina •Strength | Heavy two handed weapon that does slow sweeping attacks. As it’s a heavy weapon, you will be consuming a lot of Ki when swinging it around. |
![]() Switchglaive | •Skill •Intellect •Magic | The Switchglaive is one of the more unique weapons in Nioh 3. It has three different forms depending on the stance that you are using: • Chakram in Low Stance • Glaive in Mid Stance • Scythe in High Stance |

2) Ninja Weapons
The Ninja style, too, has 7 weapon types that you will gain access to over the course of your playthrough. However, at the very start and tutorial phase, you will only get to use Ninja Sword, Dual Ninja Swords, Kusarigama, or Hatchets.

![]() Hatchets | •Stamina •Skill •Intellect | Hatchets have finally made their way into Nioh, and this weapon type comes in a pair. They have fast combos, and you can throw the weapon when doing a charged heavy attack. |
![]() Splitstave | •Strength •Intellect •Magic | Splitstaves is another very unique and versatile weapon in Nioh 3. It has a pretty long reach and does blunt attacks to the enemy, which makes it easier to break their Ki. |

3) Ranged Weapons
There are currently 3 ranged weapons that you will have access to in Nioh 3.
