All Path of Exile 2 attributes explained

When you’re playing Path of Exile 2, you will come across three different character attributes, each of which will affect a different aspect of your character.

It’s also worth noting that these attributes will only affect your character’s abilities but will not affect how much healing you’ll receive from potions, or resistance from different status effects.

So, here are all the attributes that you will come across in Path of Exile 2, and what they mean.

What are the different attributes in Path of Exile 2?

The three attributes in Path of Exile 2 are as follows alongside what they do:

Dexterity (DEX)Dexterity affects how accurate you are in ranged combat. Every point in DEX will give +5 to your accuracy. It also passively effects your evasion rating.Ranger and Mercenary need to for ranged combat.

Strength (STR)Key attribute for melee classes, and is tied to life points too. Each point in STR will give you +2 Life.Warrior need it to wield weapons and shields.
Mercenary needs it to keep their armor rating up.

How to increase character attributes

There are two ways in which you can increase your character attributes in Path of Exile 2. They are:

  • Finding gear that will boost specific character stats while completing missions around the world.
  • Investing in key passives on your skill tree that will give you +5 to any stat that you choose. This however, can be respeced at anytime, without having to break your entire build chain.
