How does the Hidden Potential Skill Tree system work in All Star Tower Defense X
Once you reach player level 18, you will then be able to unlock one of the available Hidden Potential skill trees for one of your 5-star and above units.
Once you unlock a tree, you will then be able to allocate nodes to it, which will then let you put points into increasing certain stats of your units. Along with this, you will also be able to access four special skill nodes. These special nodes let you unlock passive abilities that make the unit significantly more powerful.
How to unlock Nodes and Special Skill on the Hidden Potential skill tree in All Star Tower Defense X
To be able to allocate a node on a Hidden Potential skill tree that you have unlocked, you will need to use Skill Orbs that match the element color of your unit.
On top of these, you get access to two types of orbs:
- Skill Orb I
- Skill Orb II
If you are looking to allocate every single node and special skill, you will require a good amount of both. Apart from these, to unlock the nodes that house special skills, you will need to path towards it and allocate the nodes leading up to it.
Getting the first special skill slot will require an orb; however, for the other three slots, you will require three duplicates of the same unit.
Note: The same special skill can be allocated three more times. This will help you increase its effectiveness along with its chances of activating more often.
How to Get Skill Orbs in All Star Tower Defense X
As mentioned, you will need the skill orbs of the corresponding color of the units to be able to allocate nodes and unlock special skills. These Skill Orbs are obtained by completing Challenges, which rotate every half an hour.
On Hard and Expert difficulties, the main challenges offer orbs of different colors. However, the three remaining challenges will let you gain Skill Orbs (Pure) as well as other evolution materials. These Pure Skill Orbs can then be transformed into Skill Orbs of any color.

How to reset Hidden Potential Skill Tree for a unit in All Star Tower Defense X
To reset the Hidden Potential skill tree in All Star Tower Defense X, you will need to get your hands on the Roka Fruit. However, to change an allocated special skill, you will need Doma Fruit.
Both of these items can be obtained from the Trail Shop or by redeeming the free codes that the developers often give out.
Note: When you use a Roka Fruit to reset a skill tree in All Star Tower Defense X, the Skill Orbs that you have spent so far will not be refunded.
