There will be a total of four Vessels that you will get to unlock as you progress through the narrative in Black Myth Wukong. Each Vessel has a unique effect that you will be able to unlock, however, once you use it, your entire Qi will be used up.
Unlocking all four Vessels will also reward you with the Treasure Trove achievement, so getting them all is important if you are looking for 100% completion in the action-adventure.

Every Vessel location and their effect in Black Myth Wukong
Here is how you will be able to unlock every Vessel across all of the chapters in Black Myth Wukong:
1) Fireproof Mantle Vessel (Chapter 1)
How to unlock:
You will obtain this vessel as a reward for completing the secret area in Chapter 1, Ancient Guanyin Temple. To unlock it, you will need to ring all the bells in the chapter, and upon ringing the third you will be automatically teleported to the Ancient Guanyin Temple.
You will now need to spawn and beat the boss Elder Jinchi. Once the boss is down, you will teleport back to the third bell, and in front of it you will now find a body. Interact with it to obtain the Fireproof Mantle vessel in Black Myth Wukong.
Effect:
- Activation effect: Grants burn immunity and gradual focus increase.
- Equipped effect: Significantly increases burn resistance and grants immunity to scorch damage from lava-covered terrain.
2) Wild Tamer Vessel (Chapter 2)
How to unlock:
You will be able to obtain the Wind Tamer Vessel as a reward for completing the Chapter 2 Secret Area, Kingdom of Sahali. You will need to first complete the Drunken Boar’s questline to unlock the Secret Area, and once you have made your way in, you will need to beat the Tiger Vanguard boss.
Once the boss is defeated, you will need to talk to the NPC who is standing on the cliff right infront of you. This will then trigger the Fuban boss encounter. Beat Fuban to obtain the Wind Tamer.
Effects:
- Activation effect: Massively increases damage reduction for a short duration and grants immunity to strong winds.
- Equipped effect: Slightly increases damage reduction.
3) Weaver’s Needle Vessel (Chapter 4)
How to unlock:
The Weaver’s Needle vessel is unlocked after completing the Chapter 4 secret area, Purple Cloud Mountain, in Black Myth Wukong. To unlock the area you will first need to beat the Venom Daoist boss found near the Webbed Hollow, Pool of Shattered Jade shrine. From the shrine head right and go up the path to find the spider cocoon which is hanging from the ceiling. You will need to attack it to make the Daoist pop out of it and then beat him.
You will need to face the Venom Daoist a second time near the Temple of the Yellow Flower, Court of Illumination Shrine. From the location head back and then take the path infront. You will eventually reach a fork, and from there take a left which will then play a cutscene followed by the boss fight. Defeat the Daoist to unlock the Purple Cloud Mountain area.
Once you are in the secret area you will need to beat The Duskveil boss to unlock the Weaver’s Needle vessel.
Effect:
- Activation effect: Spawns a needle that relentlessly homes in on enemies
- Equipped effect: Slightly increases critical hit chance and critical hit damage.
4) Plantain Fan (Chapter 5)
How to unlock:
You will be able to automatically unlock the Plantain Fan by completing Chapter 5. It’s a part of progression so you will not be required to go out of your way to get it.
Effects:
- Activation effect: Creates a hurricane that lifts the enemy airborne
- Equipped effect: Moderately increases stamina recovery rate.
Once you have unlocked all the vessels in Black Myth Wukong, you will be rewarded with the Treasure Trove achievement.
