Battlefield 6, which happens to be Electronic Arts’ answer to Call of Duty, is heading into an open beta segment, with an early access window.
During this time, you’ll finally get to experience the new age combat mechanics coming to the multiplayer experience in Battlefield 6.
So, if you’re looking to get a taste of what the game has to offer, here’s everything you need to know about it.
When Does Battlefield 6 Open Beta Start?
Prior to its launch, Battlefield 6 will experience two separate open beta weekends. During this time, you will get access to the different multiplayer modes that are coming to the game.
The dates and times for both these weekends are as follows:
- Week 1: August 9 – August 10
- Week 2 : August 14 – August 17

Do note that this is a limited-time open beta segment, and is subject to change. If something like that happens, then the developers should have some information available about it beforehand.
Additionally, this is the only time these multiplayer maps willl be available for free. In future, once Battlefield 6 launches, you’ll have to purchase the game to access all multiplayer content.
Is There An Early Access Before the Open Beta?
Yes, there’s an early access segment for Battlefield 6 before the open beta segment. This early access will begin on August 7, two days before the open beta goes live, and will last till August 8.
If you’ve previously signed up for Battlefield Labs, you’re already being considered for early access. However, these invites were also handed out via a Twitch promotion, which has now ended.
Will Open Beta Progress Carry Over to Battlefield 6 At Launch?
It’s unlikely that the open beta progress will carry over to the full launch of the game. Since it’s just the PvP segment that’s releasing, any progress that carries over will put new players at a disadvantage.
So, once the game hits full launch, expect to start your journey with a fresh slate.
