With the first month of 2026 almost coming to an end, it’s time to look forward to the best games that are going to be released in the month of February. Each year, there are more games released than ever before, spanning a variety of genres.
In the following list, we will be picking out some of the titles that we think are going to be amazing in the month of February.
Best Upcoming Games of February 2026
The 18th Attic

February 2, 2026
At the start of the month of February, we are going straight into some scares with The 18th Attic. Which is going to be a new horror game from the indie developers at Steelkrill studio. These are the same people who were behind the now-popular The Backroom 1998.
The 18th Attic brings us fans of horror games some nostalgia, with the involvement of a camera to take pictures of paranormal activities as a mechanic. The basic premise has the player stuck inside an attic with a cat companion.
Players in the game will have to progress by uncovering the mysteries surrounding their past. The indie devs only plan to launch it on PC for the time being.
Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined

February 5, 2026
Square Enix definitely caught wind of the community criticizing the overreliance of HD-2D as an artstyle for almost every classic RPG remake these days. So they decided to turn the tables, going back to beautiful 3D models with Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined, and boy, does this game look beautiful.
The original Dragon Quest VII was a PlayStation game released back in the 2000s. Ever since, the title has received multiple ports for mobile devices as well as a version for the Nintendo 3DS. The latest rendition of this title has been developed by the Japanese studio, Hexadrive, and will be released on all modern platforms.
Nioh 3

February 6, 2026
The first week of February already looks pretty hectic if you have a heaping pile of game lists you want to check out. That’s because right after Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined is out, players will have to step into the world of yokais with Nioh 3.
That’s right, Koei Tecmo, after joining hands with Platinum Games last year to bring us the long-awaited sequel to Ninja Gaiden, will be throwing it down back with a new entry in the Nioh franchise.
From the newest trailer, we can guess that the title has a new dimension of added verticality that ramps up the play on movement to a much higher capacity.
Romeo Is a Deadman

February 11, 2026
There are times when people follow a particular game franchise because of the continued weight of the history behind it, no matter who the developers are working behind. But then there are times when people look forward to a game solely because of the developer.
Such is the case with Suda51’s Romeo Is a Deadman, the genius behind the No More Heroes franchise, who is back again with another adventure that will blow everyone’s mind. The subtitle around the game’s official description highlights the words ‘Ultra-Violent Science Fiction.’
Reanimal

February 13, 2026
On February 13th, another horror title will grace us, but this time it’s from a developer who is already known for their games in the industry. Tarsier Studios were the developers behind the first two popular Little Nightmare games, and it seems like they will be continuing the horror trend with the new entry, Reanimal.
Players will once again be thrown into a world of horrifying nightmares, but this time it is a sibling duo traversing through these lands to rescue their friends. A demo for the game is currently available for fans of the developer to check out before it releases.
High On Life 2

February 13, 2026
Rick and Morty is one of the most well known western animated properties for its strange blend of humor with science fiction. The co-creator of the show, Justin Roiland, decided to take his experience to the gaming world when he opened up his own studio, Squanch Games.
High On Life is one of the many games that were developed by the studio, but it stood out from the bunch for its straight-up use of humor and dialogue that were similar to Rick and Morty. Fast forward to now, and High On Life is getting its sequel, which the fans have been waiting for.
If you are someone who just learned about the franchise, then you still have a few weeks to play through the first one before High On Life 2 drops on February 13th.
Screaming Head

February 16, 2026
If none of the games on this list so far interest you, and what you are looking for is something along the lines of a bizarre experience. You might be one of the few gamers with a niche taste for titles like Screaming Head.
This is a game that straight up looks bizarre from the moment you lay eyes on it, and that’s for a reason because it is not made for the mainstream crowd. Screaming Head puts you in the role of a literal walking head whose wife has been kidnapped by his own body, and he must rescue them.
Truly a hilarious and whimsical concept for a 2D platformer, with some nice soundtrack. A demo is available for those interested in checking on the store page.
Styx: Blades of Greed

February 19, 2026
Styx is a game franchise that has been around for a while, but it does not find itself in discussions within the gaming community. That’s not to say that the games are unimpressive. Styx has its own dedicated fandom who are looking forward to the newest entry coming this February 19th.
So we took the chance to include Styx: Blades of Greed on this list for everyone who is a fan of Styx the Goblin. For the rest who are curious, this is a stealth game that is set in the universe of ‘Of Orcs and Men‘ Fantasy RPG universe.
Goblins and Orcs are systematically oppressed by the Empire of Men. Styx was originally introduced as a supporting character in the game. But he got enough popularity for the creator to give him his own spinoff that has become a strong series.

February 27, 2026
Bandai Namco has recently been on a sprint to remaster and re-release almost all the classic titles from the Tales of game series, and bring them to all the modern consoles. This February, we are going to see the return of one of those installments.
Tales of Berseria was released as the sixteenth and one of the more popular entries in the franchise, way back in 2016. Players step into the boots of Velvet Crowe as she gathers her ragtag crew of misfits to head out on a journey through the fantastical kingdom of Midgand.
While also chasing after revenge that may end up in lots of grief and trauma in this spectacular action RPG.

February 27, 2026
The last game releasing in February is a massive Capcom heavy hitter that is probably on everyone’s radar. If you are someone reading this who dabbles in video games, then you are definitely familiar with one of the pioneers of survival horror games, Resident Evil, which is finally getting its newest entry.
This time, the story takes us back to Racoon City with a new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. An FBi agent who has found herself in quite the mess, chased by a new type of horror that adds to the legacy of stalker enemies the franchise is known for.
