Hugo is the newest S-Rank Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. Released in the second half of Version 1.7, the leader of the Mockingbird faction brings with him a unique swagger and mechanic to diversify the DPS meta.
However, pairing Hugo up with the correct teammates is essential to get the best value out of him. This article lists out the best teams for Hugo in ZZZ.
Hugo Zenless Zone Zero best teams
Double stun teams
Hugo’s best teams in ZZZ are those that feature two Stun Agents. With this in mind, the best Hugo teams in Zenless Zone Zero include:
- Hugo/Lighter/Lycaon
- Hugo/Lighter/Qingyi
- Hugo/Qingyi/Lycaon
- Hugo/Trigger/Lycaon
- Hugo/Lighter/Trigger
Lighter is easily Hugo’s best teammate in ZZZ. He provides a ton of bonus Ice DMG, shreds Ice Res and increases stun duration, all of which Hugo loves in order to do enormous damage.
Lycaon is his next best teammate as he also shreds Ice RES and increases damage to stunned enemies.
Other strong Stun Agents include Qingyi and Trigger. The latter, however, is the weakest Stunner for Hugo as she prefers Attack Agents that deal more consistent damage, which Hugo lacks.
Standard and F2P teams
A stock standard Stun and Support team works fine with Hugo too. The newest ZZZ Agent also has a couple of F2P friendly teams. Here are some of the more standard and F2P teams for Hugo well in Zenless Zone Zero:

- Hugo/Anby/Nicole
- Hugo/Lycaon/Astra Yao
- Hugo/Koleda/Lucy
- Hugo/Caesar/Lucy
Soukaku and Astra Yao are Hugo’s best non-Stun teammates as they provide a lot of buffs to his damage potential.
A completely F2P team can include Anby and Nicole. While it isn’t Hugo’s strongest team in any stretch of the imagination, it can get the job done in almost any game mode.
