Of the three classes available in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the Warrior boasts the highest amount of attack and defense points.
This is the only class that is capable of wielding a shield and a sword and using them in combat. With multiple skills available, there are a lot of ways for you to build this class.
Having said that, here’s the best build for the Warrior class in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Best skills for the Warrior build in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Although the following skills are recommended just for the early game stages, you can easily use it to carry you through the endgame too. The skills you need are as follows:
- Driving Kick
- Titan Stomp
- Bloody Advance
- Flashing Fists
Titan Stomp is an ability that you can spam without worrying much about spending Rage. Bloody Advance will be your main damage dealer till you get to your specialization tree.
Since we’re looking at the Reaper specialization, we’ll be going with the following skills under this tree:
- Spirit Storm
- Reaper
- Death’s Blessing
This specialization focuses entirely on dealing a lot of Necrotic damage. So even if you don’t have enough direct damage, you’ll be doing a considerable amount of damage over time, which can eat away at your enemies’ health pool bit by bit.
Best weapon and armor enchantments for Reaper Warrior build in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Since the Reaper Warrior build focuses a lot on Necrotic damage, it’s best to use weapons that deal bonus Necrotic damage to begin with.
That aside, if you’re looking to enchant your weapons and equipment at the Caretaker’s workshop, you need to focus on the following ones:
- Main hand: 10% weapon damage
- Off hand: 10% weapon damage
- Alt. weapon: 25% stagger
As for your armor pieces, here are the enchantments that you should be taking into account:
- Helmet: 20% elemental damage resistance
- Armor: 20% elemental damage resistance
- Amulet: 15% Crit damage
- Ring 1: 25% Rage generation
- Ring 2: 25% Rage generation
What’s worth noting here is that the Reaper Warrior, while being a strong build, does not generate enough Rage through passives, hence you should be focusing on Rage Generation bonuses wherever you can.
Best runes
Once you’ve unlocked the Ilyrium Dagger, you’ll be able to slot a maximum of three runes for additional effects. While there are no BiS runes for the Reaper Warrior build, it’s best if you go with the ones that give you additional damage.
