Black Myth Wukong is set to release officially on August 20, 2024, and players on PlayStation and PC will be able to pre-load the title on their systems well before launch. Preloading the action-adventure game will let you play it as soon as it officially drops.
So if you are not one to wait for a couple of hours to try out a new game as soon as it releases, you will want to know when to preload it and the total preload size that will be required.
Black Myth Wukong pre-load time for all platforms
PlayStation users will be able to pre-load Black Myth Wukong on August 17, 2024, and PC players will be able to pre-load it on August 19, 2024.
As the Xbox release of the title has been delayed due to issues with the Series S, Game Science has not provided an update on when it will make its way to Microsoft’s platform.
Black Myth Wukong pre-load size
While Game Science is yet to officially confirm what the actual download size of the game will be, Valve’s Steam storefront suggests that you will need close to 130 GB of space to install Black Myth Wukong.
The pre-load size is expected to be around that benchmark, and you should atleast have 100 GB of available disk space.
How to pre-load Black Myth Wukong
Here is how you will be able to pre-load the title for PC and PS:
For PlayStation users:
- If you are on PlayStation you will need to make your way to the library after pre-purchasing Black Myth Wukong.
- Once the pre-load period is live, select the game.
- Finally, click on the download button, and your system will automatically download and install the title.
For PC/Steam users:
- Once you have pre-purchased the game and the pre-load date is live you will need to head to Steam library.
- Look for Black Myth Wukong, and then click on the Download option.
- Select the Disk where you want to install it, just make sure that it has atleast 130 GB of free space.
- Then click on “Install” and agree to EULA.
- The Stea client will then automatically install the game for you.
It’s important to note here that while you will be able to pre-load Black Myth Wukong on your systems, you will not be able to play the game until it officially drops on August 20, 2024.
