The early access for Brighter Shores, a brand new MMORPG from the creator of RuneScape is set to go live in during the first quarter in the month of November.
Developed by Andrew Gower and Fen Research, this title recently came out of closed beta and will be available to a wider audience with the early access release.
So, here’s everything you need to know about Brighter Shores and when it’s going live for everyone.
Bright Shores early access release date

As seen on X, Bright Shores will be available via early access on November 6, 2024. Although the game was set to go live a day later, the developers preponed it to prevent it clashing with the US Presidential Elections.
Set in the world of Adothria, this MMORPG is almost like a table-top game, with an isometric design. To make matters even more interesting, Bright Shores is completely free-to-play, as revealed by the developers, and will have a content plan stretching over multiple years.
Similar to the premium pass that RuneScape offers, it’s believed that Brighter Shores will also have one, signifying that the developers will be looking to adopt the same monetization techniques that they did with the former.
While this is only the early access release for Bright Shores, you can expect most of the features to be available with this build itself. It’s hard to say when the full release for the game will be available, but post early access, more features will be added to it through regular updates.
However, one of the most interesting features for this game is that you will be able to grind professions while staying idle, but the XP gain will happen at a reduced rate.
From everything available so far, Bright Shores is looking to be an experience that could possibly dethrone RuneScape. It’ll be worth seeing how it all pans out in the future.
