Do Chronotokens carry over in Marvel Rivals?

Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is almost here, and players may be curious as to whether Chronotokens from Battle Passes will carry over to the next season. While the answer is a resounding no (for the most part), there do exist some takeaways that serve as exceptions.

More on these Chronotokens below.

Do Chronotokens in Marvel Rivals carry over?

How to report players in Marvel Rivals

Chronotokens do not carry over from season to season in Marvel Rivals. All of your Chronotokens will be reset as soon as a new season begins – with the exception of those bought directly with real-world currency, Lattices.

Additionally, any of these tokens you might have collected before the end of a season will be automatically used to claim all previously unclaimed items within the Battle Pass. However, the items claimed in this manner follow a set, predetermined path which may not always result in the unlocking of specific items (such as cosmetics).

While this is indeed unfortunate, Marvel Rivals on the whole remains extremely free to play friendly which should more than make up for the lack of items carrying over from the Battle Pass (which is quite a common move in most other free to play titles).

How grab rewards from prior Marvel Rivals Battle Passes

Interestingly, it would appear that Netease Games has allowed for the claiming for past Marvel Rivals Battle Pass items – with a caveat.

While you can grab past Battle Pass items using newly earned Chronotokens (from the current season), this excludes the Luxury rewards – which cannot be redeemed in any way later (assuming you have not bought the premium tier already).

As such, it is recommended to grab the Luxury tier of the Battle Pass before it ultimately expires – in case you do not have enough time to finish collecting all rewards.

It’s a weird system for sure, but miles better than having the Pass expire altogether.
