While not as complicated or mechanic heavy as Raids, Dungeons in Destiny 2 offer a unique challenge to those who dare to step into them.
Over the years, Bungie has developed a pattern of releasing two Dungeons a year, and each of them are somewhat associated with the lore itself.
So here’s a quick rundown of all the Dungeons in Destiny 2 in the order of their release.
How many Dungeons are there in Destiny 2?
So far, there are eight Dungeons in Destiny 2. Out of them, only a handful are available at Master difficulty, but you can earn Artifice Armor from them.
The following table will help you figure out which Dungeon released when and will let you tackle them chronologically:
Dungeon | Expansion | Associated Exotic |
---|---|---|
The Shattered Throne | Forsaken | Wish-Ender |
Pit of Heresy | Shadowkeep | Xenophage |
Prophecy | Shadowkeep (Season of Arrivals) | – |
Grasp of Avarice | Beyond Light (30th Anniversary Pack) | Gjallarhorn |
Duality | The Witch Queen (Season of the Haunted) | Heartshadow |
Spire of the Watcher | The Witch Queen (Season of the Seraph) | Hierarchy of Needs |
Ghosts of the Deep | Lightfall (Season of the Deep) | Navigator |
Warlord’s Ruin | Lightfall (Season of the Wish) | Buried Bloodline |
While all these Dungeons are meant for teams of three, you can always try to solo them. You won’t get additional rewards, but if you manage to solo the last four Dungeons in the table, then you’ll have a higher chance of receiving the Exotic associated with it.
Interestingly enough, Prophecy is the only Dungeon in the game that does not have any Exotic weapon associated with it.
The Shattered Throne and Pit of Heresy are the only two Dungeons where the Exotic does not drop by defeating the final boss. Instead, you need to complete an additional quest which ends inside the Dungeon.
That concludes everything that you need to know about all the Dungeons in Destiny 2. Be sure to check out everything that we have for you in League of Legends and Pokemon too!
