All Pale Heart region chest locations in Destiny 2 The Final Shape

You will be able to get your hands on 9 regional chests in The Pale Heart of Destiny 2. With the new Final Shape expansion, you will be able to get your hands on the Khvostov 7G-0X Exotic auto rifle. However, you will need all the Lost Encryption Bits for it which are obtained from regional chests

There are three major regions in The Pale Heart: The Landing, The Blooming, and The Impasse. Each of them contains three regional chests and they are designated by the Ghsot icon on the map.

If you are having trouble locating them, below is a detailed guide on how you can access each of the Pale Heart region chests in Destiny 2.

The Landing region chest locations in Destiny 2

Chest 1:

  • For the first chest head to the south of The Landing entrance and look for a building which is made on the side of a cliff.
  • Use the Strand grapple grenade to reach it and then use the small outcrop to jump inside.
  • Now make your way to the back to find the first chest of the region.

Chest 2:

  • Head to the center of The Landing. You will find a fountain area next to a cliff.
  • You will be able to spot a small cave beside the fountain.
  • Head in and go along the path till you reach a gap.
  • Jump down and you will find the next Pale Heart region chest in Destiny 2

Chest 3:

  • Make your way outside the cave from the second chest and look for a pathway on the other end. It will have three bridges along, with a platform with a tree in the middle.
  • Jump on the platform and then look for the lowest area near the cliff.
  • Now head down and make your way left, you will see a steep path.
  • Follow it to get the final chest of the region. It will be underneath a waterfall.

The Blooming region chest locations in Destiny 2

Chest 1:

  • From the landing, you will need to head right and keep going till you go past the Taken Orb.
  • You will eventually approach the side of a cliff which only has a single tree.
  • The region chest will be located there next to a couple of rocks.

Chest 2:

  • For the next Pale Heart region chest, you will need to spot the large tree from the cliff where you just got the first chest.
  • Use the Strannd grapple to make our way there, and start climbing the tree.
  • You will find a chest at the very top.

Chest 3:

  • The final The Blooming region chest is found to the east of the landing zone. 
  • Drop down the cliff and from the side, you will notice a cave.
  • Go along it till you reach another zone and spot a cliff.
  • The chest will be on the cliff. Reach it by either jumping or using the Strand grapple

The Impasse region chest locations in Destiny 2

Chest 1:

  • As soon as you land in The Impasse you will need to head left. 
  • You will find a large pit with many ledges that you can jump onto.
  • Make your way to the bottom ledge, and then turn around to find a chest.

Chest 2:

  • Head east, till you find a large temple. This will be located under the Witness’ monolith.
  • You will need to make your way to the top of the temple by either climbing it or using the Strand Grapple.
  • Once you reach the top you will find the chest.

Chest 3:

  • For the final Pale Heart region chest in Destiny 2, you wil need to make your way south. 
  • Head to The Broken Deep Lost Sector and then take a right into a small cave located near the outcrop.
  • You will need to make your way inside to find the last regional chest.

Opening regional chests will only net you 9 Lost Encryption Bits from a total of 15. The additional 6 can be obtained by finding them in various Cyst missions.
