Best PvE builds in Destiny 2: Subclasses, Exotics, and more

When it comes to PvE activities in Destiny 2, you can use an assortment of builds. However, for these builds to be efficient, the subclass needs to synergize with the Exotic armor pieces.

In Destiny 2, you will come across a plethora of builds for all three classes in the game. Some of these builds are meant for PvP activities, while the rest are meant for PvE activities only.

Each build is made up of multiple parts like Aspects, Fragments, and armor mods. That said, here are some of the builds that are tailored for all PvE activities including endgame ones like Grandmasters and Raids.

5 Best PvE builds in Destiny 2

Although the following builds are very useful in endgame activities, they can be used well in all PvE content across the board in Destiny 2. That said, here are some of the best builds in Destiny 2.

1) Omnioculus Hunter

Destiny 2 Omnioculus
The Omnioculus is best suited for endgame activities.

This has been a staple build for most Hunters in Destiny 2. Void hunters can not only go invisible themselves but can also make their allies invisible with the Smoke Bomb.

When paired with the Omnioculus Exotic, Void Hunters get two Smoke Bomb charges. If they can make three of their allies invisible, then the entire Smoke Bomb is refunded.

This is a wonderful support build and can help players survive in PvE activities.

  • Subclass: Void
  • Exotic Armor: Omnioculus

2) Celestial Nighthawk Hunter

Destiny 2 Celestical Nighthawk
The Celestial Nighthawk enhances the damage output of the Golden Gun Super.

If the Omnioculus Hunter was all about all about helping players survive, the Celestial Nighthawk Hunter is a DPS machine.

For this build to work, you will be required to use the Golden Gun super ability, because it synergizes with the Celestial Nighthawk Exotic.

When your super ability is active, the Celestial Nighthawk allows you to shoot just one high-powered shot, which is capable of dealing more than 900k damage.

  • Subclass: Solar
  • Exotic Armor: Celestial Nighthawk

3) Banner of War Titan

Destiny 2 Strand Titan
The Banner of War build makes Titans immortal.

Unlike the two previous builds, the Banner of War Titan depends on the Banner of War Aspect entirely. Not only does this help Titans survive, but it also gives them the ability to deal incredible amounts of damage.

If you’re comfortable using your Titan Melee ability while on the Strand subclass, and you don’t mind using a Sword or the Tractor Cannon as your heavy weapon, then this is one build that you should be going for.

Since this build relies on your Titan Melee ability, you can always pair it with the Wormgod Caress Exotic for an added damage boost.

  • Subclass: Strand
  • Exotic Armor: Wormgod Caress

4) Vesper of Radius Warlock

Destiny 2 Vesper of Radius
The Vesper of Radius build can clear ads instantaneously.

This is probably one of the Destiny 2 PvE builds where you don’t need to use weapons at all. All you need to do is drop a rift, and then your rift will do the killing for you.

You also get an Arc soul with your rift, which is almost like a shoulder-fired machine gun. It will take care of any enemies that come charging at you.

While the Vesper of Radius Exotic can be used with Arc Warlocks for quick ad-clearing, it isn’t meant for boss DPS phases.

  • Subclass: Arc
  • Exotic Armor: Vesper of Radius

5) Mindspun Invocation Warlock

Destiny 2 Mindspun Invocation Warlock.
This Warlock build depends heavily on the Mindspun Invocation Aspect.

This is yet another build that depends more on the Mindspun Invocation Strand Aspect than any other Exotic. You can any Exotic that has a neutral game, but you can always pair this with Necrotic Grips for added poison damage.

This build depends heavily upon your Discipline stat because you’ll be needing a lot of Grenades. So it’s always best to run with a weapon with the Demolitionist perk on it. Not just that, don’t forget to use the Grenade Kickstart mod on your arms with this PvE build in Destiny 2.

  • Subclass: Strand
  • Exotic Armor: Any neutral game Exotic works.
