There are a lot of Exotic Missions that you will come across in Destiny 2. While completing these missions are a surefire way of landing the Exotic weapon associated with them, you’ll be able to earn some of the armor pieces that were associated with the season during which the mission was available.
Like most of the other playlist activities in the game, these Exotic missions rotate on a weekly basis. So, here’s everything you need to know about them.

Every week, you’ll have three guaranteed red border weapon drops if you manage to meet the following criteria:
- Complete the featured Exotic Mission on Regular difficulty.
- Complete the featured Exotic Mission on Legend difficulty.
- Complete two runs of the featured Exotic Mission on any difficulty.
Once you’ve received the three red border drops, you’ll still be able to complete the mission and receive one of the many gear pieces that are a part of the loot table.
