The Axial Conduit is one of the many Unique items that have made its way to Diablo 4 with Season 5, Season of the Infernal Hordes. The item is currently specific to the Sorcerer and is considered to be one of the best-in-slot uniques to build the seasonal character around.

The item is not that easy to obtain and you will have to invest in a fair bit of grind to get it. Here is everything you need to know about getting your hands on the Axial Conduit unique in Diablo 4.

Best ways to get the Axial Conduit in Diablo 4 Season 5

There are currently two best ways of getting the Axial Conduit unique in Diablo:

1) Farming Infernal Hordes

Infernal Hordes Diablo 4

The Infernal Hordes dungeons are the new endgame content in Season 5. You will be able to run it on repeat to get a chance to obtain some of the best Unique items like the Shard of Verathiel for your character.

Just make sure to collect as many Burning Aethers as possible before reaching the final boss of the dungeon and then increasing the difficulty of the boss. Depending on the amount of Aethers you have accumulated the rarity of the chest you get after beating the Fell council will vary.

2) Target farm Uber Boss Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint

Alternately another great way of obtaining the Axial Conduit will be to farm Uber Boss, Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint. This boss has a higher drop rate for the Unique Pants and to face him you will need to complete the Hall of the Pentient, a Level 75 dungeon in the Dry Steppes.

Once you have reached the end of the dungeon, you can then summon Grigoire by using the following materials:

Normal Grigoire

  • 5 Living Steel (World Tier 4)
  • 2 Living Steel (World Tier 3)

Torment Grigoire

  • 15 Living Steel (World Tier 4)
  • 1 Stygian Stone

Living Steel is needed to summon the boss, and you will need to farm a fair chunk of this resource before heading into the dungeon.

How to farm Living Steel to summon Grigoire in Diablo 4

Living Steel is one hardest Uber Boss summoning materials to farm in Diablo 4. This is because of its very low drop rate, however, if these will be the best ways of obtaining the item in the game:

  • Tortured Gift Chests
  • Killing elite enemies
  • Whisper Caches
  • Open Tortured Gift of Living Steel

Each of these will have a chance of dropping Living Steel. But do keep in mind that there is a fair bit of RnG involved with the process and the resource is not a guaranteed drop.

You will have to keep farming these out to get it. But once you obtain 2 Living Steel you can head over the Dry Steppes and enter the Hall of the Penitent instance at World Tier 3 to start the Grigoire summoning process.

You will need to place the Living Steel into the Light-Touched Altar and the Uber Boss will spawn. Depending on the sort of build you are going for, the difficulty of the encounter will vary.

Once you kill Grigoire, you will get a chance to obtain the Axial Conduit Unique Pants.

Alternate ways of getting Axial Conduit

Other ways of obtaining the Axial Conduit will be by completing world events and taking down the various World Bosses around Sanctuary. Completing Nightmare dungeons will also provide you with a chance of getting the item as a drop.
