Transformations and Fusion are a key part of combat in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Depending on the character you are piloting, these features will add a necessary boost to their power level, making completing some content significantly easier.
However, it’s recommended that you make the most of the system, especially if you are looking to win out on PvP battles and unlock more Sparking Episodes. Here is a guide that goes over everything you need to know about the Transformation and Fusion in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
How to Transform in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

As long as you are playing a character who is capable of transformation, you will be able to make them transform to the next level in Sparking Zero. Saiyans like Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and other characters like Cell, Frieze, Zarbon, Cooler, and more are capable of transformation.
So if you are playing as one of them, you will be able to transform by following these steps:
- When piloting the character that can transform, notice the top-left corner of your screen where you will notice Skill Count. This keeps track of certain abilities and your character will show a blue circle with a number and arrow next to it which tracks transformations.
- Once this meter appears, you will get a number next to it, you will then need to hold Up on the D-Pad which will then bring up a wheel of all available transformations.
- The numbers shown, go up over time, and depending on the one that is displayed, if you press the button associated with it you will be able to transform.
- Because of this, you are base-level Goku, you will not need to go through the subsequent transformations to reach Super Saiyan 3. As long as you have enough points in the meter, you can skip SS1 and SS2 and directly jump to SS3.
- You can also revert back to your base form if that is a gameplay tactic that you are going for. However, using Transformation and leveling up will significantly boost the amount of damage that you do.
How to use Fusion in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

To be able to successfully Fuse in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero you will need to:
- Have characters in your team who are capable of fusing together. So pairs like Goku-Vegeta, Goten-Trunks, Caulifla-Kale, Majin Buu-Uub, and more.
- Once you have characters in your party who can fuze, you will need to then keep an eye on the transformation meter. When it fills up again you will need to hold Up on the D-Pad which will once again bring up th wheel on all available Transformations. You can then press L1 and R1 on PlayStation or LB and RB on Xbox to go to the Fusions tab.
- Once the meter is full you will be able to press the button and activate a Fusion of your choosing (i.e Gogeta or Vegito if you have both Goku and Vegeta in your party).
- Fusion characters unlock new sets of movesets compared to Transformations and you will be able to access more combos as well as abilities like the Big Bang Kamehameha which is a fusion of Goku’s Kamehameha and Vegeta’s Bing Bang Attack,
