Whale Migration Event: How to catch Moby and Blue Whale in Fisch

Whale Migration start point Fisch

Here is how you can take part in the Whale Migration and catch Moby and Blue Whale in Fisch:

1) Starting the Whale Migration event

You will be able to catch Whales in Fisch during the Whale Migration event. It lasts for only 15 minutes and is quite similar to the Orca migration event. Here are the chances of the Whale Migration event occurring:

  • Blue Whale: 20%
  • Moby Dick: 5%

To locate the event, you will need to make your way to the Ancient Isles and look for the blue line which will note the start of the Whale event. When it begins, use your GPS, and then make your way to the starting point with your boat.

You will spot a total of five Whales spawning there, they are quite easy to hook in as the Whales are rather slow and you can easily catch up to them.

However, do keep in mind that the event will end as soon as the whales reach the end. So make sure you are catching at least one of them by then.

Moreover, there is a 20% chance that a Blue Whale migration will occur whenever it’s raining or foggy on your server. You can also use the Tempest or Smokescreen Totems to help trigger it faster

2) Catching a Blue Whale and Moby

Catching the Whales is comparatively easier than spawning the event itself. The spawn chance is very very low, but once you find the blue line, you will be able to catch a Blue Whale or a Moby Dick.

So make sure you have your best Fishing Rod equipped, and carry some Shrimp as that is what the Whales prefer. Shrimps can be obtained from Common and Bait crates, or you can purchase it from the in-game shop with Robux.

Here are the two whales that you will get to catch during the event and the conditions that they prefer:

Moby Dick WhaleSecretAnyAnySummerSquid

Note: The whale will incur a -90% progress speed effect, this means that you will want to enchant your rodd with the Resilient enchantment if you are having trouble catching them. The Moby Dick, on the other hand, is a secret fish and will put a 95% press speed effect on the rod. Its movements are also quite frantic, and it will be very difficult to reel it in.

1) Double XP extended weekend

You will be able to enjoy double XP for three straight days. It’s a great time to level up and gain as many levels as possible on your character in the game. Moreover, you will be able to stack this XP buff with other in-game XP buffs to make the most of the event.

2) New skins and bundle

With the Moby Dick update, you will also get your hands on a fair number of premium and limited-time bundles. These will cost Robux but the investment is worth it as the bundles provide amazing skins for the Royal Scepter, the No-Life Rod, the Training Rod, and more.

Along with this, you will also get to enjoy three new Moby Dick-related Bobbers and two boats. The two boats are:

  • Flipper Express: This is the part of the Flipper Bundle, and comes with White Lanterns along with 64x Luck boost for one hour.
  • Mawrider: This is the more expensive choice and the boat comes with a very creepy Lanternfish

3) Captain Ahab and a new rod Enchantment

After you catch Moby Dick, you will be able to visit Captain Ahab and trade the whale for a new enchant which is called Blessed Song. The enchant, when equipped, will give your rod a +10% progress speed to every fish you reel in. It’s one of the better enchants that you will be able to get your hands on in Fisch.

Note: There is currently a bug where players are not getting the enchant in return for exchanging the Moby Dick. This will hopefully get patched in during a future update.
