Crafting items and making the most of your Workbench is one of the most important parts of progression in Grounded 2. As you have shrunk in the game, exploration will be incredibly challenign from the get-go and you will need everything at your disposal to have an easier time surviving the dangers of the open-world.

How to make a Workbench in Grounded 2
You will be able to build a Workbench pretty early on in your journey in Grounded 2. All you will need to do is progress the main story to a certain point where you get the “Pick up an Omni-Tool” objective.
This happens when you eventually reach the Ranger Outpost. There are sicx locations of te item inside, so just walk upto one and pick the tool.
As soon as you get it, you will receive the Omni-Axe as well, and you will be using this axe for making the Workbench.
So, with the Axe in hand, make your way over to the tall green grass outside and start chopping them down. These will then break apart into Grass Planks, and you will then be able to pick them up and bring them to the Research Analyzer.
Once the planks are done getting analyzed, you will unlock the Workbench blueprint, which will need the following items:
- 3x Grass Plank
- 4x Spring
- 2x Sap
As mentioned, Grass Planks are obtained by hacking away at the tall grasses. Spring are small two-leaf plants that you will find everywhere, and a Sap is mainly found around the root of trees making them another easy resource to farm.
Once you have the required materials, you will need to open the Construction Menu and select the Workbench from there. Then pick a preferred location and place the blueprint there. Once the plans are laid out use the materials that you have gfathered to complete construction.
