The GTA Online ‘Agents of Sabotage’ Update recently added a new mission, known as The Project Breakaway File.This mission involves 3 sub-missions of varying difficulty, which can be completed in any order.

How to start The Project Breakaway File mission in GTA Online
To start the mission, you must purchase the ‘Darnell Bros Garment Factory’ from the Maze Bank Foreclosures. After you have completed the transaction, head to the building and access the computer and/or Dranell Inc. app on your phone to begin playing.
Project Breakaway File mission walkthrough
Mobile Tracking
- You will be directed to take control of a RC Bandito.
- Take control of the RC and track down the Eberhard van using your mini-map (marked by a yellow circle).
- There are 3 possible locations, so you might have to comb through them.
- When within range, hack the vehicle to open its bay.
- Drive the RC into the van and proceed.
Thermal Charges
- You will be directed to search up a delivery list at a certain Post OP depot. Head inside the cabin to find the item.
- Take a photo and send the attachment to Jodi Marshall.
- Bail out of the area, preferably without being spotted.
- Sneak into a SecuroServe warehouse. You might have to fight your way through here.
- Grab the thermal charges and bring them to the Darnell Bros Garment Factory.
Encryption Bypass
- Sneak into the Agent’s apartment, and enter the basement by solving the keypad puzzle.
- Line up the red bar at the center of the white vertical bars to proceed with the hack.
- Dive into the basement, and take care of the guards.
- Grab the malware drive.
- Next, track down the Agent and kill them.
- Take a photo of the corpse and send it to Jodi Marshall.
- Grab the drive and deliver it to the Garment Factory.
Afterward, you can locate Project Breakaway using the Trackify app. Head to the location and eliminate all hostiles.
Take control of the RC when prompted, and have it detonate next to the nerve gas pumps. Next, head inside and infect the indicated server (green icon) with the malware – after you deal with any hostile guards.
Hold your ground until the malware is fully uploaded, and place the thermal charges on the cell doors. Blow up the charges from a safe distance and grab all items of interest (Server Blades, Black Books and Hard Drives).

- Score 15 headshots
- Grab the Server Blades and Black Books with the Hard Drives
Exit and deliver the goods to the buyer. Make sure to eliminate any hostiles that spawn in this location.
