Much like the Keeper, the Seeker too is a very difficult position to master in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions. Much of the playstyle revolves around seeking the Golden Snitch, which will net a lot of points for your team if you are able to catch it.
The Golden Snitch works a bit differently in Quidditch Champions as it will appear more than once in a single match. Moreover, instead of giving your team 150 points when caught (as shown in the movies and books), the Snitch will net you 30 points instead.
So if you can catch the Snitch consistently over the course of a match, your team is going to have a much easier time securing a win.
Here is a guide on everything you need to know about the Seeker position in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions.
How to play as a Seeker in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions: Scouting explained
The Seeker is a very unique position in Quidditch Champions as it’s not a permanent role. They can fill in for any position that they want till the Golden Snitch is out on the field.
There is no fixed timing as to when the snitch will be released but once it’s out you and your team will receive a message on the screen notifying you of it. You will then be able to switch to the role of the Seeker by pressing “R” on the keyboard and then selecting two. This will bring up the team Seeker option.

Once you take up the role of a Seeker, you will then be able to search for the Golden Snitch. It’s a very difficult objective to find within all the chaos going around the arena. However, to make the hunt easier, make sure to look for a fluttering audio cue.
If you hear the flutter getting louder then the Golden Snitch is somewhere nearby. Once you or the enemy seeker spots the snitch, it will then begin the chase sequence, alerting every team member on both sides.
How to Chase the Golden Snitch in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions
Once the Chase sequence kicks off the Golden Snitch will be marked on your screen if you are playing as the Seeker in Quidditch Champions. Your goal will be to follow its trail and stick close to it so that you don’t let it out of your sight.
The Snitch will also leave behind rings. If you travel through them, you will be able to fill your boost energy which is required for catching the elusive object.
As you keep chasing it, the Golden Snitch will juke and keep taking sharp turns, trying to throw you off its trail. Make sure you use your mouse’s right-click to drift your broom at the right time so that you do not miss out on collecting the rings.

While it’s not mandatory to collect each of the rings, making sure that you pass through a majority of them will make it much easier to catch the snitch. You will also be able to track the progress that the enemy Seeker has made on the top of your screen, under the scorecard.
You will also notice a yellow semi-circle on the Golden Snitch which signifies the progress meter. Once the meter fills it will turn blue and once you reach close to the snitch you will get a button prompt where you will need to click on the left mouse button. The prompt is very short-lived and you will need to press it at the right time to grab the Golden Snitch and gain 30 points for your house.
Additional tips for mastering the Seeker
Here are some tips and tricks for making the most of the Seeker position in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions:
- As the Snitch appears multiple times in a match, make sure to go after all of them to significantly improve your team’s chances of winning.
- Be aware of the Bludgers as Beaters will usually direct this ball towards you to halt your progress. If a Beater does aim a Bludger at you, you will need to press the Space bar a soon as the button prompt pops up. This will let you avoid the incoming projectile. If you are hit too many times by Bludgers, you will be knocked off your broom and you will not be able to continue the chase for that Snitch.
- You can press E and use the directional keys to bump into the enemy Seeker if they get close to you. This will force them to lose their momentum allowing you to get the edge when chasing the Golden Snitch.
While Seekers are hard to master in Quidditch Champions, once you put in some considerable hours into practicing the role, you will be the deciding factor that lets your team have a higher win rate in both PvP and Career mode.
