How does the Pity and Banner system work in Zenless Zone Zero

To have an easier time progressing through Zenless Zone Zero you will need to understand some of its core gacha mechanics including Pity and Banners. Getting your hands on your favorite characters in the game usually takes a fair bit of luck, but the RPG comes with a Guaranteed Pull feature as well just like the other HoYoverse titles.

How many banners are there in Zenless Zone Zero

The title will feature four banners at any given time, with them getting replaced with new ones during future updates and character introductions. Here is a list of all the banners:

Channel Exclusive

  • Character rate-up banner

Channel W-Engine

  • Rate-up Weapon banner

Channel Stable

  • Standard banner with random character or weapon

Channel Bangboo

  • Rate-up Bangboo banner

How does Pity work in Zenless Zone Zero

Pity is the Guaranteed Pull system in the game and it makes sure that even if you are unlucky you will get a 100% chance of getting the character or weapon that you want in the title. Here is a list of all the banners along with the Pity that they come with:

A guaranteed A-rank character or W-Engine at every 10 pulls.
Standard bannerGuaranteed S-rank character/W-Engine at 90 pulls
A guaranteed A-rank character/W-Engine at every 10 pulls
You will be an S-rank character after 300 pulls in the Standard banner
Limited W-Engine banner75% chance of dropping the rate-up W-Engine at 80 pulls
In case of non-rate-up W-Engine drops, you will get the next S-rank will be the featured rate-up drop.
Limited character banner50% chance of dropping the rate-up S-rank character for the first time at 90 pulls
If a non-rate-up S-rank character drops, the next S-rank will be the featured rate-up drop.
Bangboo bannerA 100% chance of dropping the player-selected S-rank Bangboo from this banner at 80 pulls.

There are a total of three banner currencies that you can get and use in HoYoverse‘s latest title:
