The Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.80.25 beta is officially out, offering players a glimpse at the future revisions of Minecraft – ahead of its official, stable release. As always, beta versions are not indicative of the final build and players should expect some changes post release.
The beta can be downloaded for PCs, consoles (PlayStation and Xbox only) and mobiles (Android and iOS), the steps for which will be discussed below.
How to download the 1.21.80.25 Minecraft Bedrock beta

PC
- If you already have beta access, head on over to the Microsoft Store and visit your app library. Head to the Games tab and search for the Minecraft Preview listing. Hit Update to begin downloading the beta,
- If you do not have prior beta access, you will have to download the Minecraft Launcher first. From here, select the Bedrock edition and click on the Latest Release button to bring up a drop-down menu. Hit install to download the beta.
It should be kept in mind that the steps above are valid only for Windows 10/11 devices.
PlayStation
- Boot up your PlayStation console and head to your Game Library.
- Fire up Minecraft and make your way to the left sidebar.
- Choose the Preview option and choose your edition (PS4 or PS5, depends on your console).
- Hit the Download button to begin installing the beta.
Keep in mind that these steps are only valid for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Xbox
- Fire up your Xbox and head to the Game Pass Library. A Game Pass subscription (of any tier) is required.
- Search up Minecraft Preview within your Library.
- Select the preview page and hit the Install button to begin downloading the beta.
These steps are only valid for the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles.
Mobile
Android
- Fire up the Google Play Store and make your way to the Minecraft page in Games.
- Scroll down and select the option for joining the beta.
- Once you gain beta access, hit the download button.
Do note that enrolling in the beta will replace the standard edition with the beta version.
iOS
- Make sure you have the Testflight app installed from the App Store.
- Make your way to the official Minecraft preview webpage.
- Use your Apple account to sign up for the beta.
- A mail will be sent to your registered email ID – open it using the View in Testflight option.
- Accept the invitation and hit Install to download the beta.
