How to get potions and increase your potion stock in Dragon Age The Veilguard

Compared to previous franchise entries, the combat in Dragon Age the Veilguard is a bit more challenging and you will often find yourself low on health and looking for a potion to top you up. Health Potions are going to be your best friend especially when you are playing the RPG on higher-difficulty settings.

However, you don’t gain the potions in the more traditional manner in Dragon Age The Veilguard. It’s part of exploration and progression when you are on a quest, so there are a few nuances to it.

Here is a guide that goes over how you will be able to get Health Potions and increase your character’s potion stock in Dragon Age The Veilguard.

Where to find Potions in Dragon Age The Veilguard?

Health Potions are something that you obtain by just progression through a mission in Dragon Age The Veilguard. You will find them by just sticking to the progression path of the mission that you are on. You will often find vibrant green pots along the road, and your goal will be to break them which will then grant you a health potion.

However, do keep in mind that you will only receive health potions when you have a slot for them. If you already have a full stock, you will not receive it in your inventory. Rather, the health pot that drops will heal your missing HP.

While these green pots can be found anywhere on the map, they are especially found in abundance in areas around quest markers. So you will find them more often if you do not venture off the beaten path.

When you start the game you will be able to carry four health potions by default. However, if you go for the Antivan Crows Faction you will receive one extra slot. So if you are playing the game on higher difficulties, it’s best that you pick this faction.

Additionally, you will be able to increase your potion capacity by upgrading the Pursuant’s Implements Armor to Rare, it will give you one more potion slot.

You will get more slots by using Enchantments which you get after taking up the Caretaker Workshop rank to 7.
