How to get Silk in Black Myth Wukong

You will need Silk to upgrade the various tiers of your armor in Black Myth Wukong. It’s one of the key parts of progression in the game, allowing you to have a much easier time tackling all the bosses that the action-adventure has to offer.

However, obtaining a fair amount of Silk to get your upgrades going is easier said than done. The resource is not readily found in Black Myth Wukong, however, there here are a few things you can try to streamline your farm for it.

How to farm Silk in Black Myth Wukong

Here are some of the most reliable ways of obtaining Silk in Black Myth Wukong:

1) Killing elites in Yellow Wind Ridge

Once you reach Yellow Wind Ridge in Chapter 2, you will start to acquire Silk by taking out elite enemies like the Yaoguai Chiefs. The standard mobs will not drop Silk no matter how many times you kill them so you will have to stick to farming the elites around the Yellow Wind Ridge.

So make sure you are exploring the entire area as well as its secrets to get access to all the bosses.

2) Open rare chests

Rare wooden chests are another great way of obtaining Silk in Black Myth Wukong. You will find these all across the region and if you are already searching every nook and cranny for bosses, you will automatically come across all the rare chests in your journey.

In the later stages of the game, Silk will be a bit more common and more readily available in chests.

3) Purchase from Keeper’s Shrine

All Keeper’s Shrines have a shop that you will be able to use to buy important crafting resources and character upgrade materials like the Mind Cores. However, do keep in mind the available items in a shrine shop will depend on the region that you are in.

So once you have completed Yellow Wind Ridge and move on to the later chapters, you are likely going to find Silk as a more readily available resource in Black Myth Wukong.
