Once of the many items you will come across during your time in Miraland are Whimstars. Whimstars (as the name describes), are star-like floating objects hidden in hard to reach places.
You can collect Whimstars to unlock Ability Outfits, and progressively upgrade the Heart of Infinity.

How to collect Whimstars in Infinity Nikki
- With the help of Momo: Momo can track down Whimstars for you – enter his ‘vision’ using V and you should have the Whimstar marked in pink on the screen. Press F to track it. Momo will also notify the player of nearby Whimstars.
- Whimstar Chases have you smash open a crate by jumping on it (with force) to grab it.
- Another challenge involves collecting Whimstar skeletons or outlines within a certain time limit to reveal the actual star.
- Yet another challenge involves following a trail of Whimstars skeletons on a cloudy rail. You will have to periodically jump off to collect other stars. This is by far one fo the hardest challenges.
- Hidden Objects: Once you activate the mechanism, you will have to search for a star shaped object/drawing in the marked area and thereby unlock the Whimstar.
- One of the other ways to collect these items is by jumping high up to the sky – either via giant leaves, nets, catapults or by petting a giant bird using the Bye-Bye Dust outfit. The birds will take you for a ride, where you can slowly glide your way down to the Whimstar.
- Use the Bye-Bye Dust outfit to groom Ferrets and grab Whimstars. You have to be sneaky though.
- Use the Afternoon Shine outfit to catch certain bugs and grab these items from them.
- Use the Ripping Serenity outfit and grab specific fish to obtain the item.
- Certain treasure chests will also offer Whimstars – keep in mind that many of these will launch a few enemies at you, which you will need to purify. These chests are indicated by a purple glow.
- Curio Domains scattered around the map will also offer Whimstars.
- Pay Stray Hatty (found in Florawish) Bling in order to grab the item. This is fairly expensive though.
