Apart from picking up a class and race, Rune Slayer will also offer you the option of joining a Faction as you make your way through the open world. However, being a part of one is quite difficult and there are a couple of steps that you will need to take.
So if you are looking to make the most of the factions system in Rune Slayer, the guide below will help you out.
How to join Holy Faction in Rune Slayer
To be able to join the Holy Faction in Rune Slayer you will need to talk to Arthiel, the Sacred Blade in Knight’s Templar who can be found near Lakeshire. Here is how you will be able to locate the NPC:
- Make your way up the mountains behind the Adventurer’s Guild building, you will find it on the west side of the town. Once you reach the hill you will find a pond that makes its way into a river.
- Follow the river and you will eventually find an arch in a mountain. When you make your around it you will eventually reach the entrance to Lakeshire.
- Once you reach the entrance, you will need to take a left and make your way along the walls till you encounter a cave. Here you will need to talk to the guard and then proceed to take the lift. When you reach the top take a left and climb the rocks which lead to an opening in the hill.
- Now take a right and climb up the mountain to finally reach the lair of the Knight Templars. Once in, head across the room to find Arthiel who is standing beside some weapons. Interact with him and pick the following option to join the Holy Faction in Rune Slayer:
- “I want to join your cause.”
How to join Demon Faction in Rune Slayer
To be a part of the Demon Faction in Rune Slayer, you will need to find and talk to Malzareth, the Worldscorcher. The NPC is found in the Demon Sect in Balgaron Chasm and to reach it, here is what you will need to do:
- From where you found the Knight’s Templar you will need to head back down till you reach the lift. You will meet a guard here on the right side of the door, and you will need to pay them five Silver to open it.
- Once you make your way in, you will need to run past soe Imps. If you don’t have a decent build at this point, we will not recommend that you take on the Imps head-on. So run past them to head into the Balgaron Chasm. Then take the first right and then a left which will lead to a narrow bridge.
- Keep heading forward after crossing the bridge till you reach another narrow bridge. Cross that as well and then jump onto the wall that is infront to land on a ledge. Keep jumping down till you eventually reach an open area. The area will have red blocks leading inwards.
- Follow the red blocks will you find some scattered bones, and just ahead of it you will notice a massive hole that has laval flowing through it. You will need to descend further, so be careful when jumping from one ledge to the next. After some time you will finally reach the Demon Sect stronghold where you will find Malzareth, the Worldscorcher. Interact with him and pick the following dialog option to join the Demon Faction in Rune Slayer:
- “I would like to join you in desecrating this world.”
Note: You can join only one faction at a time in Rune Slayer. Additionally, you will not be able to leave a faction after joining one.
