How to pause quests and cutscenes in Monster Hunter Wilds

You will be able to pause quests as well as cutscenes in Monster Hunter Wilds. So if you have some other pressing issue to deal with while in the middle of a hunt or story, you will be able to use the system to pause the game where you are and come back to it at a later time.

Apart from pausing a cutscene, you will also be able to skip it. This comes in handy when you have already completed that portion of the narrative and are replaying the story from the start with a new character.

So if you are looking to make the most of the pause feature in the RPG, then the guide below will help you out.

To pause a quest, you will need to make your way to the Systems page from the Start menu. So once you open the Start Menu you will see your characters’s status on the right. To head to the System Settings Menu you will need to head to the far end and look for the icon with the cogwheels.

This is the same Settings Menu that you use to quit the game or return to the title screen. Here you will find the option to “Pause” so select it to pause the hunt that you are in.

You can pause quests only when you are playing Monster Huter Wilds in Online Singleplayer Mode. This is the only lobby mode that you will allow the pause feature. If you are in any other multiplayer mode you can switch out by making your way back to the base camp and then talking to Alma.
