Call of Duty Black Ops 6’s Squid Game 2 crossover event is live, bringing with it iconic additions from the Netflix TV series – including the addition of the Red Light, Green Light game mode in multiplayer.
The mode takes place at the Red Card Stadium within the Avalon Map. More details on the game mode, including a general overview can be found below.
How to play the Red Light, Green Light LTM mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 6
Phase 1
In the first round, players will enter into a like-for-like simulation of the Red Light, Green Light game from the Squid Game Netflix TV series. The Young-hee doll will also be present as your judge, jury and executioner.
Each round will last a total of 2 minutes – with there being 3 rounds in total. Players will have to move forward, but immediately stop when Young-hee calls out ‘Red Light – facing immediate execution.
Grab power ups such as the Piggy Bank and Ddakji when Young-hee recites ‘Green Light’ to move forward and further boost your scores.
There are no weapons available in the first phase.
Phase 2
Unlike the first phase, the second phase unlocks the use of weapons and ammunition at will.
Players will be directed to grab any weapons they wish from the ground at random, and jump into immediate combat against other participants.
You can use guns, melee attacks and Finishing Moves to eliminate hostile participants along the way. The rest of Phase 2 proceeds in a rather similar fashion to Phase 1, without the interference of the Young-hee doll.
To win, you will have to survive Phase 1 and eliminate all enemies during Phase 2 and/or cross the finishing line. A total of 3 winners will be selected, with the rest entering spectator mode as they watch the chaos unfold.
