The world of Throne and Liberty is filled with fantastic beasts and monsters for you to discover and interact with, and Gigantrite, which also happens to be a flying whale, is one of them.
This beast appears at very specific times in the game, and is harmless for the most part. There’s also a codex entry that you unlock if you manage to ride this creature.
So, here’s how you can ride Gigantrite in Throne and Liberty to unlock the secret codex entry.
How to ride Gigantrite and unlock the “Little Friend in the Sky” codex entry in Throne and Liberty
To unlock this codex entry, you need to:
- Unlock the Glide Morph ability. This ability allows you transform into a creature that can glide upto a certain distance. You can get this ability by either purchasing it from the store or unlock it by completing different missions and defeating monsters.
- After you’ve done that, locate the biggest tower in the Starlight Observatory ruins. Scale the tallest tower, and wait for Gigantrite to show up.
- Once he shows up, jump off the tower and Glide Morph onto its back. If you do this successfully, you’ll unlock the secret codex entry.
However, it isn’t as easy as it sounds, because there are a few issues with it. These are as follows:
- When it comes to Gigantrite, this beast only spawns at three hour intervals. So, if you’ve missed the shot to ride him once, you’ll have to wait for three hours before he spawns again.
- Secondly, even if you scale the highest tower, aligning yourself to the whale’s flight path can be a task, and will definitely take you a couple of tries to get it correctly.
- Furthermore, it’s likely that other players will be trying to do the same thing as you, so getting a clear line can be a very difficult task at times.
