Archetypes is a system in Metaphor ReFantazio that grants your party members and followers combat stats that they use in battle. They determine the passive and active abilities that they come with Archetypes can divided into four categories: Origin, Adept, Elite, and Royal.
Origin Archetypes are the base that starts the lineage, while Adepts are a more powerful version with Elites being another tier above them. Royal Archetypes are the most powerful ones in the JRPG and are only unlocked after you have reached the endgame.

The Origins are starting Archetypes which begins a new lineage. To unlock advanced forms of these Archetypes you will need to master the forms and increase Follower Bond Rank.
