How to merge shadows and upgrade them to SS Rank in Arise Crossover
To be able to merge Shadows in Arise Crossover you will need to talk to the Shadow Upgrade NPC who can be located in the spawn area. The NPC looks a lot like Rimuru and will have the Shadow Upgrade tag hovering over them.
Once you find the NPC, interact with them, and you will be able be able to access the upgrade menu. Here you will see the following ranks for your shadows:
- Rank E
- Rank D
- Rank C
- Rank B
- Rank A
- Rank S
Now to be able to merge a Shadow to get its SS rank variant, you will need to add one Shadow of it in each rank. So to get an SS of one shadow you will need to add variants of the same shadow in the respective ranks from E to S.
When you have achieved that (after hours of grind), you will then need to use “Gems” or “Tickets” which is the currency you need to make the upgrade.
Another great way of obtaining SS-rank units is to farm dungeons that have the SS-rank mobs. The latest Dedu Island raid has the Ant King and Ant Queen, who have a chance of providing you with the SS-rank unit by Arising them after you have defeated them.
However, the RnG on this method is extremely poor, and as the drop chance can be as low as 2%, the best way to get your SS-rank units will be to make the most of the Shadow merger system.
How to upgrade and enchant weapons in Arise Crossover
To be able to upgrade and enchant your weapons in Arise Crossover, you will need to interact with the Enchants NPC who can be found at the spawn area. After interacting with them, you will be able to upgrade any weapon of choice by adding three of the same type, after doing that you will obtain the higher variant.
To enchant weapons, on the other, you will need to add the weapon into the enchantment slot and then use either Gems or Tickets to get a particular enchant. Enchanting along with upgrading your weapons play a key role in how easily you progress into the late game, so do not sleep on these systems if you find yourself struggling to complete quests.
