In Dune Awakening a Blood Purifier is an extremely important item because it lets you convert harvested blood into water.
Just like in real life, water is an incredibly important resource, but is extremely difficult to manage, especially during the early-game no matter which class you choose.
While you’re out scavenging for fuel cells and salvaged metal, you can harvest blood from defeated enemies, but it’s of no use if you can’t purify it properly using the blood purifier.
How to Unlock and Craft the Blood Purifier in Dune Awakening
To unlock the Blood Purifier in Dune Awakening, you need to research the item in the Placeables section under the Salvage Products tab.
After you’ve researched it, you need to spend 70 salvaged metal to place the item in your base. When you place it, you can use it to meet all your hydration needs, because without proper water, you’ll be dehydrated and your health bar will be shorter than normal.
How to Convert Blood Into Water in Dune Awakening
To use the blood purifier, you’ll need harvested blood. You’ll get this whenever you use a blood extractor on a fallen enemy. However, if you don’t have any blood sacs on you, you cannot extract blood from your enemies.
Assuming that you’ve stored blood in blood sacs, head back to your base. Now, all you need to do is place the extracted blood into the purifier and wait for it to work its magic.
Blood purifiers take a lot of time to work, so make sure you’ve placed multiple in your base to process more amounts of blood into water in Dune Awakening.
You can either drink water directly from the purifier, or you can place them Literjons and carry it with you on your journey.
Since the desert dehydrates you quickly, it’s best if you craft a Stillsuit too. Although this has less armor, it’ll still help you conserve water and prevent you from dying under the hot scorching sun!
