MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has finally launched for the Xbox Series X/S and PCs, and brings with it impressive visuals and a spectacular gameplay experience. Unfortunately, the game has seen a plethora of issues – especially on PC.
Players might experience random stutters, lag spikes and crashing on the platform for no apparent reason.
The game still lacks polish in its current state and needs a fair amount of rework to its visuals in order to be perfectly stable – and run in a more ‘optimized’ manner. Regardless, you can find a list of possible fixes for the game below.
How to possibly fix the “stuttering and crashing” issues on PC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Update your game and verify the integrity of game files
MachineGames have already released a patch for the game, which targets performance and stability improvements. Consider updating your game if you have not already – either via Steam or the Game Pass app.
Another step you might consider is verifying the integrity of your install. To verify if your files are indeed corrupted, head to your Steam app and open your game Library. From there, select your game and fire up its Properties.
Head to the Installed Files tab, and select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option. Wait until the process finishes. Steam will automatically download missing files, if any.
Update your GPU drivers
AMD/Nvidia/Intel have already released targeted drivers for the game, which bring in several performance and stability fixes.
Consider updating your GPU drivers to the latest release, and perform a clean reinstall using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller).
Adjust your game settings
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is not exactly an easy game to run – especially with its absurdly high system requirements that recommend 8+ GB of VRAM. Adjust your expectations accordingly and consider lowering your in-game settings.
A mix of Medium to Low settings with Dynamic Resolution scaling is recommended for optimal results.
Those on Linux operating systems might notice strange issues with Nvidia GPUs; this is a known bug and is being investigated.
Keep in mind that these fixes are technically workarounds and not definite solutions to the issue. Players might find it better to wait for MachineGames to eventually fix the problem by means of a future patch.
