How to change companions in Dragon Age The Veilguard

The maximum character level cap for Veilguard is Level 50. Once you hit Level 50, you will no longer gain any additional levels or stats.

You will not be able to gain any additional skill points past Level 50 either, and your Rook will be locked to this level for the rest of their journey.

It is however, possible to refund and/or respec skill points at will – offering some degree of flexibility with regard to character builds.

Combined with the Fen’Harel Altars, you can accumulate a total of 65 skill points to use.

Other than the base Level 50 cap for your Rook, Veilguard also has the following caps:

  • Faction: Level 10

How to level up faster in Dragon Age The Veilguard

Levelling up faster in Dragon Age The Veilguard simply requires dedication, time and patience. In true RPG fashion, players will have to grind through dozens of quests (and optional subquests) in order to gain EXP faster.

There is no shortcut here, and players are advised to play through the campaign as usual, taking their time completing the game’s many side quests and secrets in the process. Main story quests do net the most EXP though.

Your party will also level up with you, so make sure to assemble your favorite team before heading onto a mission.
