Understanding Team Composition in Lost Sword

Team Composition is the main essence of the game’s strategy, and you will have to deploy up to five characters on the field. The characters will have to be arranged in three different rows, with each one having their own positional plays:

  • Front Row: Place your Tank, i.e., Knight to take the damage and shield the team.
  • Middle Row: Place Archers or Wizards to deal ranged damage
  • Back Row: Place support characters like healers to assist your team.

Having a balanced team will help you in the process of taking down the enemies with ease. Accordingly, you will be able to easily complete the campaign.

What are Elements and Damage Bonuses

Understanding the different elements is also quite essential, as each one have their own pros and cons. There are seven types: Fire, Nature, Radiance, Chaos, Shock, Frost, and Holy. You can gain elemental advantage of 30% when you fight against an opponent using weaker elements.

There are also holy characters in the game, and they don’t possess any elemental weaknesses. As a result, they are quite reliable and can go against every element type.

Upgrading Skills, Gear, and Hero

There are a total of four skills that a character possesses: one Ultimate, one Active, and two Passive. Upgrading them correctly will give you an edge. Essentially, you are advised to upgrade the skills primarily for your best characters. Using them only on A-tier and above units will provide you the most value.

Coming to Gear, it is divided into different things like Weapon, Armor, Treasure, and Runes. You can make the most out of your gear by farming it in early stages and building up the inventory, prioritizing gear that matches the character’s role and stat scaling, and transferring specialties as needed by the character’s strengths.

Dupes, Rerolling, and Gacha

Lost Sword has a dupe system, making the duplicate characters valuable. First dupe ends up prioritizing resonance for a team-wide buff. Additional dupes can be used for Transcendence to boost the character’s base stats.

To get a head start in the game, you can reroll by playing on the game on Emulators and using multi-instance tools. This will help you get a 5-star hero and pets. Keep in mind that the gacha rate for 5-star units is 3%.

Pets, Relics, and Growth Points

Speaking of relics, they are a key upgrade system, featuring three types: Scabbard (Defense), Lance (Attack), and Grail (other stats). You can prioritize Scabbard first and then follow it up with the other two.

Looking at Grow Points, they will help you increase the basic stats like Protection, Indomitable, Valor, and Chaos. You can increase them based on your preference.

Guilds and Labyrinth Dungeon

Pets provide you with unique skills and stat boosts. However, you have to keep in mind that the skills of the frontmost pet is only active in the battle, so you must keep your best pet ahead.

Guilds are basically communities/teams that you can join. This will help you access raid bosses, special shops, and other rare resources, ensuring that you progress faster.

On the other hand, the Labyrinth Dungeon is a weekly challenge, and it has three different difficulty levels. Clearing out the entire challenge will be providing you with great rewards, loot, and Mystery Cards that you can use to become better in Lost Sword.

This is all you need to know when you are just starting out in Lost Sword. After knowing all the basics, you can have a great start and progress better.
