Netease Games’ free to play hero shooter, Marvel Rivals has announced a winter-themed event just in time for the holiday season. Titled the ‘Winter Celebration’, the event will include many new additions such as cosmetics and an exclusive 5v5 mode.

When does the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration event begin?
The Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration event begins December 19, 2024 at 11:00 PM PST. The event will be available until January 9, 2025 after which it will be permanently removed.
Make sure to participate in the event and grab all freebies as soon as possible.

What to expect from the Winter Celebration event
This particular limited-time event brings with it the following:
- New 5v5 game mode: This particular mode has all participants play as Jeff the Land Shark. The mode takes clear inspiration from Splatoon, and should be a blast to play through.
- Winter Themed Skins: A total of 5 exclusive, winter themed skins for Groot, Venom, Rocket Racoon, Jeff the Land Shark and Magik. Expect these costumes to be purchaseable via microtransactions only. Jeff’s skin is free to obtain though.
- A Special Winter Greeting Card: Expect a special greeting card from Jeff the Land Shark, filled with surprise gifts.
