The next update in Minecraft is called The Garden Awakens as it will introduce the pale garden biome. Now that the release date is official, the community cannot wait to explore the eerie areas and interact with new mobs.
If you’re yet to catch up on the upcoming content in the game, here’s everything about the Minecraft Pale Garden update, including Creaking, resin, and more.
When will Minecraft Pale Garden update be released?
The Garden Awakens update in Minecraft will be released on December 3, 2024. A bunch of features from the patch like eyeblossoms and resin were added to testing in Bedrock back in October 2024, helping the developers make final tweaks.

What to do when Minecraft Pale Garden update arrives
The main highlight of the Minecraft Winter Drop in 2024 is the pale garden biome which contains the following features:
- Resin – This is a building block that grows on pale oak trees, but you’ll have to interact with the nearby Creaking mobs to make this possible. Collecting resin clumps can help you craft resin bricks.
- Resin clumps – Resin clumps accumulate around a Creaking Heart when you try to damage a Creaking it is protecting.
- Eyeblossom – These flowers will be unique to the pale garden biome. They are grey and closed during the day but have an orange glow to help you navigate the biome during the night. Harvesting them can help you obtain grey and orange dye. Do note that these flowers are not light sources so Creaking mobs will still appear.
- Creaking – This will be the new mob exclusive to the pale garden. The asymmetrical hostile mob only moves when you look away and doesn’t take any direct melee or ranged damage. Each Creeking is connected to a pale oak tree which contains the Creaking Heart.
- Creaking Heart block – The Creaking Heart appears when you first hit the Creaking it’s protecting and breaking it is the way to kill the mob. You have to mine them with a tool enchanted with Silk Touch. Else, they drop resin clumps. To craft it, you have to vertically place a resin clump between two pale oak logs in the crafting table.
Long story short, you’ll be exploring the pale garden biome when The Garden Awakens drops in Minecraft. This involves collecting a whole lot of resin clumps that can be crafted into resin blocks.
Resin, like other building blocks, can be smelted and used as bricks, slabs, walls, and stairs. It’ll be an exciting addition to the list of orange blocks in the game such as acacia planks, concrete, terracotta, and copper.

If you’re a building enthusiast, the fun doesn’t end here! The introduction of pale garden and resin means you’ll be able to collect and craft these blocks as well:
