Roblox: How to survive all E.R.P.O. monsters

R.E.P.O.’s early access on Steam began in February 2025, and the popular horror online co-op title already has its Roblox clone called E.R.P.O. While the original game allows 6 players to team up, the unofficial Roblox variant lets up to eight players take on monsters.

As with most horror games, your goal in E.R.P.O. is not to beat the monsters but to escape them. This makes studying their patterns and attacks very important as you can’t afford to be surprised by enemies in titles like these.

On that note, here’s a list of all the monsters you come across in Roblox’s E.R.P.O. and how to survive them.

All Roblox E.R.P.O. monsters explained

At the time of writing, only four monsters can trouble you in Roblox’s E.R.P.O.:

  • Duck
  • Huntsman
  • Robe
  • Reaper

There’s no fixed pattern in which you’ll stumble upon these creatures. For now, explosives seem like the best counter to all the monsters, but before attacking, you can let them chase you to the item dropoff area.

Having said that, going toe-to-toe with monsters, except Duck, isn’t advised. Make it a rule of thumb to draw as little attention as possible.

Duck (Apex Predator)

The Duck in E.R.P.O. is harmless as long as you don’t interact with it. Throughout the game, this adorable creature will try to gain your attention and as soon as you click on it, it turns into the Apex Predator, dealing a ton of damage.

Because this monster has low health, you can attempt to kill it with melee weapons but the best way is to just ignore it all the time.

Reaper

Reaper is another monster that might not seem like a threat at first but can absolutely horrify you. It isn’t fast and cannot listen to your footsteps. This means that the only thing you need to ensure is to stay away from this monster’s sight.

Once Reaper spots you, it recklessly swings its arms, dealing a lot of damage and destroying items, so you’d want to maintain proper distance. Hiding after you’ve been spotted is also not an effective strategy as it can crouch and slash you.

You must make the most of Reaper’s small attention span. You can let the monster pass by slowly but in case you’ve been spotted, quickly run away and don’t stop until you’re sure about being out of its sight.

Robe

Monsters, player, and item in Roblox ERPO

Robe is one of the scariest monsters in both R.E.P.O. and Roblox’s E.R.P.O. This ghost doesn’t give sound cues and sneakily comes behind you. If you’re doubtful about its presence, look down and use your peripheral vision instead of turning back.

Looking directly at the Robe will aggravate it, and this monster can one-shot you. The damage can be negated to a certain extent if you’re crouching but it’s best to never look at it directly.

Once triggered, Robe follows you around and can look under tables or beds to make things worse. In a nutshell, never turn back without confirming Robe’s absence, and if you’ve angered the monster, try to get as far as possible.

Robe becomes passive if it doesn’t find players for some time.

Huntsman

Hunstman hunting player in E.R.P.O.

Being spotted by the Hunstman at default heath means game over in E.R.P.O. Don’t underestimate this blind monster as his hearing prowess more than makes up for it.

Because Huntsman cannot see, it is possible to distract it by interacting with some far-off items. However, whenever it’s near, avoid making any sound that leads to you. He struggles on stairs, which is another thing you can use to your advantage.

Don’t try to fight Hunstman as he has high HP and can one-shot you easily. Just hide away for some time and wait for him to cool off and wander away.

Well, that sums up everything there is to know about the monsters in E.R.P.O. The Roblox title is fairly new so you can obviously expect a lot more scary creatures in the future.

We’ll be regularly updating this guide with all the new monsters, so make sure to bookmark it and check back after the developers roll out new updates!
