How to start the Lost Party quest in Rune Slayer
To begin the Lost Party quest in Rune Slayer, you will need to visit the NPCs in the Rat Pit and talk to them. To find the pit itself you will need to exit from the southern gate of Wayhire which will be near your initial spawn point and then keep heading in the southwest direction till you reach the Pinewood Thickets.
You will find a lot of creatures here including boars and wolves, so if you are going for a Beast Tamer subclass for the archer then this location will be the ideal area to tame some beasts.
Once you head past the thickets you will reach a hill with a large cave entrance. However, do not enter this cave, as you will need to head west by hugging the mountain till you encounter a beast who will immediately attack you.
You can either take the beast on or dodge and run past it till you find a small opening in the hill which leads into the Rat Pit.
Make sure that you have completed the Mandrake Menace quest that is obtained at Ali’s Farm for a Lantern. It will allow you to have a much easier time exploring this cave. So once you are in, light up the Lantern and navigate your way into the deepest parts of the cave.
Explore the area till you find two NPCs, Kevin and Yuri. They will be resting in the corner, and by interacting with them you will automatically unlock the Lost Party quest.
How to find the Rat King in rune Slayer
The Rat King can be found pretty close to the NPCs themselves. Just backtrack your way till reach two diverging paths. One will lead to the NPCs, while the other leads to the Rat King itself.
You will need to gather the moss here which will reveal an opening leading to a narrow passageway. Keep going down it to find the Rat King.
It will be a pretty difficult encounter, and you might struggle based on the build or the class that you are going for in Rune Slayer. But once you beat the boss you will then be able to round out the Lost Partysecret mission.
