Step 2: Install Palworld and Palworld Dedicated Server

If you are reading this guide, then you probably already have Palworld installed in your system. So make sure that you log into the game once and have played the game for a couple of minutes.

As long as Palworld is installed you will find the Palworld Dedicated Server app in Steam Library, so go ahead and install it. However, you might need to enable Tools if you are not seeing the App. You can do that from the Steam dropdown Library menu.

Now go back to the Local Files folder and open “DefaultPalWorldSettings”. From the information present inside, copy everything from below the third line. For more context find the line that starts with “/Script/Pal.PalGameWorldSettings.”

Step 4: Set up server name

After copying the required text head back to the Palworld Local Files once again and open “Pal>Saved>Config>WindowsServer”. Search fo and click on PalWorldSetting. You will need to paste the copied information here and set up the following:

  • ServerName
  • ServerDescription
  • AdminPassword
  • ServerPassword
  • PublicIP (This is where you put in your IPv4 address).

Once you are done filling them in, save and close the file. You have now successfully set up your dedicated server in Palworld.
